The Jawhorse is designed and built for indoor and outdoor use. It will stand up to the rigors of cold or wet weather and still work properly. However, the Jawhorse indeed is made primarily of steel. Over time, some paint chipping and rust may occur if the unit is left outdoors, but it will still work as well as ever.
